/mcp shows probe or trace as failed (evaluation server)

Problem

In Claude CLI, /mcp lists probe or trace as failed or disconnected.

Solution

The Probe servers are only reachable through the VPN, so the tunnel is almost certainly down.

  1. Activate the tunnel in WireGuard and check that it shows a handshake.

  2. Check that the viewer loads at http://10.102.0.10:8010/viewer.html.

  3. Restart Claude and run /mcp again.

  4. If a server is still missing, check the configuration with claude mcp list. The addresses should be http://10.102.0.10:8011/mcp (probe) and http://10.102.0.10:8004/mcp (trace).
